Tuesday April 6th 2010 was a plum day... this pic was taken last year in March when spring came early and I had 2 weeks to explore. I do like a good tow path!

Sun. Shadows. Stairs.
An eerie & quiet Embankment: Somerset House and Waterloo Bridge
Ah the Thames!
The light in the trees is so extreme depending on which angle you look.
Sun behind and the trees have a feathered deep warm brown feel.
Middle Temple. This water loving bird was sun bathing! Along with his 2 mates. That's how peaceful it was.
The river, wheels and fish.
The sun is so low you can't avoid it dazzling the water and the sky. Oxo Tower.
The sun light spills across the bridges - its magical. Blackfriars Bridge.

Sunday Morning Walk
For some reasons the colour of the trees and the contrasts between light and dark made the cemetry on Gap Road really photographic this morning...
Here is the New Wimbledon Theatre - erm in the distance. That's another I love about living round here - the high spots and the low spots. The views and the hues.
Ah the colours of winter
Up close and personal!
Red! Berries! What these photos fail to show is that this is the only one of several trees still laden with berries - probably as it sits plum in the sunlight - the others shadowed by buildings.
Homage to Lord Nelson - Merton and Hamilton Hall all being a major part of his life.

London Bridge to Kings Cross
St Pauls and surround
.. to St Pauls which at the moment is exposed on its east side due to the demolition of the old Allen & Overy building. One New Change - is doing just that - changing.. where once stood a large red brick buiiding - now there is a large hole. But it does mean that St Paul's can be seen in all its glory for a short while until the view is once more blocked.
The Three Sisters?
The Two Ronnies?
The Stock Exchange complete with new sun dial clock!
Gotham City?
Smithfield Market and surround
Farringdon Road northwards to ...
Kings Cross Road and the Stations...
The international terminal - St Pancras - it was never like this when I got the Midland Mainline to Leicester each new term!
In awe of the new terminal I took a moment to contemplate. Then I headed for the underground - which was far less spacious and nowhere near as plush..
